We love reviewing long new build agreement documents (especially with tiny font) so you don’t have to.
One of the main conditions when purchasing a new home/condominium/townhouse being constructed is that your lawyer must review the agreement and provide legal advice on whether you should continue with the transaction.
These documents are crucial for your lawyer to review. We will provide a review your new build agreement, a summary, and offer you a chance to ask any questions at a low, flat fee. For Status Certificate reviews, there is no fee!

Whether you choose to add or remove a partner, relative or friend to the title of your home, this means you need transfer title. It is a very straight forward process. There are no Land Transfer Tax implications if there is no mortgage on the title of your home or you are simply adding a spouse to your Deed. If you do have a mortgage on the title to your home, Hometown Law representatives can explain by phone or email how that can impact your title transfer.
A survivorship application is used whenever a property is owned jointly and one of the joint tenants/owners have passed away. In order for the surviving owner to sell the home, or renew or refinance the mortgage, they will be required to remove the deceased owner from title by way of a survivorship application.
Hometown Law can prepare the necessary documents and
register the title transfer or survivorship application relatively quickly for
you.
