Tyler is Hamilton’s own hometown lawyer.

Born and raised on Hamilton Mountain, Tyler, who is fluently bilingual, graduated from Sherwood Secondary School on the East Mountain and then graduated with honours from McMaster University. After graduating from the University of Ottawa’s Common Law program with a Baccalaureate of Laws (LL.B.), Tyler returned to his hometown to practice law in the community that he loves.

Tyler, who is the first lawyer in his family, comes from a working class family so he understands firsthand the needs and challenges of working families. It is a major reason why Tyler personally deals with each client of Hometown Law and places great importance on keeping his client’s budgets in mind when it comes to his legal fees. Clients are provided an upfront flat fee quote upon retaining Hometown Law.

Tyler has been a Hamilton lawyer for over 17 years after being called to the Bar of the Law Society of Ontario, since 2006. Tyler worked for and was mentored by two of Hamilton’s most respected lawyers, Mark Dudzic and the late Cynthia Campling in the areas of Residential Real Estate and Family Law. Tyler has over a decade of experience specializing in Residential Real Estate, Wills & Estates, and Family law.

Tyler’s commitment to providing accessible law to his clients is a major reason why he has set up his office on Upper Wentworth, ground level office with free parking and easy access from the Lincoln Alexander expressway.

In addition, Tyler is also a sports enthusiast, cheering on the hometown Hamilton Tiger Cats and the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Most importantly, Tyler is happily married to his wife Zoé Banham and father to his son Jack and daughter Emma. The Banham family resides in Hamilton with their three black cats.
